DMCA and Content Removal

Many sounds and clips on Myinstants are short excerpts from films, TV shows, games, songs and viral videos. The rights in that material belong to its owners. If you own the rights to something on this site, or are authorised to act for the owner, and you want it removed, we will review your request and remove the material where appropriate. We aim to reply within five working days.

How to send a copyright notice

Email contact@myinstants.net with the subject “Removal request” and include:

1. Your name, and the name of the rights owner if you act on their behalf.
2. The work you believe is being infringed (for example the film, song or video it comes from).
3. The full address (URL) of each page on myinstants.net where the material appears.
4. Your contact details: postal address, phone number and email address.
5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights owner, its agent or the law.
6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
7. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is enough).

These are the elements required by the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)). We handle requests from rights owners in other countries the same way.

Other removal requests

If a sound or video is offensive, contains your voice or likeness without permission, or shouldn't be on the site for another reason, email the page address and a short explanation to contact@myinstants.net.

Counter-notices

If material you are responsible for was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice with: your contact details; the URL of the removed material; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of your address; and your signature. We may restore the material unless the rights owner starts legal action.

Repeat infringement

Material that is the subject of repeated valid notices is removed permanently.
