Extract Hidden EXIF Metadata
When you snap a picture with a smartphone (like an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy) or a digital camera, the device invisibly attaches a hidden data matrix directly inside the image file structure. This is known as EXIF data (Exchangeable Image File Format).
The Privacy Risk of GPS Tracking
Modern smartphones have GPS modules that track satellites as you orchestrate photography. By default, iPhones and Androids bake your exact, real-world Latitude and Longitude directly into the photograph before you send it to someone over email or iMessage.
Our completely free EXIF Analyzer reveals this invisible telemetry payload instantly. You can immediately see the exact street view location where the photo was digitally mastered, along with hardware statistics like shutter speed and Apple OS versions.
Does this app upload my pictures?
Absolutely not. Analyzing EXIF data is extremely privacy-invasive. For that exact technical reason, we compiled an open-source library named exifr into local JavaScript nodes within your active browser tab. This tool reads the binary file header strictly from your own local RAM disk. No photograph is ever broadcast onto the global internet infrastructure.
